Tozenji Temple (Matsudo)

The Shin-Keisei Electric Railway Company will be holding its 70th Shin-Keisei Railway Healthy Hiking Event on Saturday, May 19. Enjoy the spring season and budding trees as you walk this 11-kilometer course around to Matsudo’s local parks and historic temples.

This 11-kilometer hiking course both starts and ends at Himawari Park (Matsudo) near Tokiwadaira Station. From Himawari Park, you will first pass through Koganehara Park to Ryogenji Temple and at the 5.8-kilometer point, you will find Tozenji Temple. From there, you will head to a special environmental protection area, Seki-san no Mori Forest, and walk a half lap around the 21st Century Forest Park’s Sendabori Pond before heading back to the goal point at Himawari Park.

At the starting point, you will receive a commemorative badge and a free drink (limited to 2,500 people, first-come first-serve). Once you finish the hiking course, you will then receive a “Kanpo” (walk completion) sticker and after collecting four of them, you can exchange the stickers for a special gift. We look forward to seeing you at the hiking event!
